Luciano, italienischer Sänger (Tenor), * Modena 12. 10. 1935; debütierte 1961 in Reggio nell'Emilia und sang u. a. an der Mailänder Scala, der Metropolitan Opera in New York und der Wiener Staatsoper sowie bei Festspielen (Glyndebourne, Salzburg). Er zählt zu den führenden Interpreten seines Fachs und ist besonders als Donizetti-, Verdi- und Puccini-Sänger sowie als Konzertsänger bekannt geworden. 1988 debütierte er in Venedig als Opernregisseur (»La Favorita« von G. Donizetti). Autobiographie »Pavarotti. My world«, zusammen mit W. Wright (1995; deutsch Meine Welt - mein Leben).
